Get to know Scott Baugh...

Chairman Scott Baugh was elected to the California State Assembly in 1995, replacing former Assemblywoman Doris Allen in an historic Recall Special Election. He was overwhelmingly re-elected in 1996 and 1998 by his constituents.  In 1999, Scott’s fellow Republican Assembly Members elected him Leader of the Republican Caucus.  As Republican Leader, Scott led the advancement of the Republican legislative agenda that fought tax increases, reduced the size of government at all levels, and restored the principles of liberty to all citizens within California. In December of 2000, Scott was termed out of office and returned to private practice.  Currently, Scott is an attorney in Newport Beach, California.  He serves clients in the interface with local, state and federal governmental organizations.

In 2004, Baugh was unanimously elected Chairman of the Republican Party of Orange County, and he continues to serve in that capacity today.
